PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
John Parreira
It has been a privilege to serve as the 2025 DHIA President alongside the rest of the board. This past year has highlighted both challenges and the resilience of our dairy industry. Our monthly meetings consist of conversations and fellowship about our cows, employees, struggles and successes we all experience in this industry. Sometimes getting way off subject but in reality, it goes hand and hand with the business part of DHIA. Between the raising costs, evolving regulations and demanding schedules, Dave and Mike do an amazing job keeping the wheels turning day after day. The long-term tenure of the staff is a testament to the success of the management team. Moving forward, we remain committed to maintain stable pricing for our member farms.
I would like to congratulate all of the high herd winners. It is amazing to see the consistent, high-level production these top herds achieve year after year. Congratulations also to our scholarship recipients. It is encouraging to see many young people planning their future in agriculture.
We also recognize Ron Koetsier for his remarkable dedication and service. Ron served on the board for 18 years contributing his time, leadership and commitment to the success of our organization. His years of service and support have made a lasting impact and we are grateful for his many contributions.
Thank you to staff and fellow producers for your continued commitment to this industry and to the DHIA. I look forward to seeing the continued success, progress of our farms and the next generation of leaders in agriculture. It is the commitment and hard work that keeps our farms, our communities and agriculture moving forward.
